I had a brain fart this morning. I was working on some slides for a presentation and couldn’t figure out why one of my Lync clients in the meeting wasn’t displaying the “Start Recording” Button and one was. Everything looked the same on both.
After some digging around I found that in order to get the “Start Recording” button to display you HAVE to join the Lync Audio portion of the call, even if you are muting the audio. Joining the audio portion is sometimes an issue when you are in a SMART room and you want to use the SMART rooms audio…
You’ll notice that there is no “Start Recording” button available.
The Audio button is not engaged. When it is engaged it will display as blue. After joining the audio portion of the call.
The Start Recording button is now available.
Some things are easy to fix, and you just have to remember to do the right things, even if they don’t totally make sense to you.
